Unlock your potential
We offer one-on-one tuition for individuals and also lessons for groups.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced shot, our professional and friendly coaches will provide the necessary tuition to accommodate your needs.
For beginners, our courses will teach gun safety and the basic techniques of clay shooting, as well as the correct etiquette.
We will do our best to ensure that your first experience of clay target shooting is an excellent and memorable one.
If clay shooting is something you wish to take up as a serious hobby, we will also be happy to advise you on the next necessary steps you need to take, including the application of a shotgun certificate and following that, the purchase of suitable equipment.
For those who already hold a valid shotgun certificate, our experienced coaches are on hand to help you unlock your full potential. Whether it is to brush up on your skills in time for the game season or an upcoming competition, or perhaps you just need to sharpen up your game, our instructors hold the knowledge to take you to the next level.
All our package prices include a personal instructor, all the clays, cartridges and specialist equipment (unless you already own this), as well as the head, ear and eye protection.
All we ask is that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear appropriate for a country walk.
Please note: Clay shooting is an outdoor sport and lessons will go ahead rain or shine!

Young Guns - £45/person
We welcome young people into the sport. A one-to-one lesson with one of our friendly instructors includes 25 targets and 25 cartridges and will last around 30-45 minutes. This package is only available for children aged from 11-16 years old.
At the A1 Shooting Ground, the youngest a child can be to try clay shooting with one of our instructors is 11 years old. For us, it is important that a child has the necessary upper body strength to correctly control the shotgun in order to make sure they have a great experience and importantly to prevent any unnecessary injuries.
All lessons are by appointment only. Bookings can be made by calling us on 0208 441 9986. A 50% deposit is required to reserve a booking. Deposits can be paid by card over the phone.
A minimum of 3 days’ notice is required to cancel/change a lesson. You will lose your deposit if the minimum 3 days’ notice is not provided. Please be prompt for your appointment (approximately 15 minutes before) as lessons must commence at your booking start time. If late you may have the lesson cut short and still be charged for the full session.
